Hey alluser,
We both know that buying decisions are based on self-interest.
We've seen this in Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Thomas Hobbes' self-interest theory, Adam Smith's rational choice theory, and many others.
This is not new, yet few people apply it correctly in their marketing and in their business.
Why? Because their own self-interest makes it hard for them to think about their prospects.
Their ego gets in the way.
But this is a reminder for you to look at your marketing efforts and to ask yourself if what you're doing is in the interest of your prospect or customer.
Because if you're not getting results, that's probably why.
If you want to learn how to easily target prospects on your website based on their interests, get a Free Spot for tomorrow's Webinar, at 10 AM ET.
Two other things to consider if you're not getting the results you want:
1. Your messaging is vague, hard to understand, or boring.
You should aim for specificity and simplicity.
Paint a clear picture, talk about specific pain points, desires, outcomes… and make sure your message is easy to understand by your target audience.
And don't forget to entertain.
There's a ton of useful content online, but most of it doesn't capture attention because it's too bland.
Evoke emotion to keep your audience engaged and to drive action.
2. Your website doesn't inspire trust.
Make sure your website meets the following basic requirements:
- It looks professional and is responsive
- Page load speed is decent
- Contact details are visible and correct
- It has an about section or page
- It has an SSL certificate
- It has social proof (see what social proof tools you can use to build trust)
- If you're selling products or services, it has a functioning checkout page with secure payment badges.
There are more things to take into consideration, but if I added them here this email would turn into an essay.
If you want a full checklist with everything you need to do in order to increase your chances of getting leads online and selling your products/services, reply with "checklist" to this email.
If there's enough interest, we'll put it together for you –> A to Z, from getting traffic to converting traffic into sales.
